Thermal effusivity is a property of a material, and its value describes the heat storing or dissipating capacity of a given material. It is used to describe the one-dimensional heat transmission between two closely associated and touching objects and is used to quantify the physical sensation of a material’s hand feel. We can ascribe a numeric value to a material’s ‘cool’ or ‘warm feel’. We are an industry leader in the measurement of thermal effusivity and experts in its many applications.
